Ringworm more prevalent in summer

According to Dr. Christopher Scuderi at UF New Berlin Family Medical Center, we'll see more ringworm in the summer.
As children get hot and sweat more the skin is moist for longer and because it is more common to keep the skin covered to prevent sunburn the skin is both damp and dark, ideal conditions for ringworm fungus to multiply

Ringworm can be itchy but doctors say you don't want to scratch it because if you break the skin you can introduce bacteria which can become a more serious infection.

One way to control ringworm and bacterial infection is to use a natural ringworm treatment

New Zealand Manuka essential oil is used in the natural ringworm treatment pack of oil, cream and soap which will control the ringworm and prevent bacterial infection from developing.
